Beyond the Horizon is Kerry’s sustainability strategy, it includes validated Science based targets initiative targets (SBTi) that are aligned with the requirements under the Paris Agreement to limit the average global temperature increase to 1.5⁰C. Beyond the Horizon outlines our ambitious targets and commitments across three main pillars of sustainability; Better for People, Better for Society and Better for Planet.
We will drive climate action in our operations and supply chain, reducing emissions in line with climate science to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees celsius. Our commitment:

We have set targets to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55% and Scope 3 emissions by 30% by the end of 2030, versus our 2017 base year. In addition to emissions targets we have set ambitious targets around energy, packaging, waste, water, diversity, inclusivity and belonging (DI&B), community and biodiversity. The programme incentivises the accelerated uptake of regenerative agricultural practices across the Kerry Agribusiness milk supplier base and rewards farmers for the implementation of the sustainable initiatives within the programme on their farms.
Evolve plays a critical role in achieving our sustainability commitments with a broad focus placed on water quality, soil health, biodiversity, animal welfare, and milk supplier participation. Evolve is a holistic sustainability programme designed to harness science based sustainable agricultural practices and incentivise the uptake of these practices by our farmer milk suppliers in the south-west of Ireland. Evolve is aligned to the regenerative agricultural pillars of practices outlined by SAI platform which refers to a way of farming that is holistic, recognises the farming enterprise as a whole-system and actively encourages a synergistic approach to on-farm decision making.
