We recognise that quality begins at the source, and thus, we work closely with our network of dedicated family farms to produce milk of unparalleled excellence.
Kerry Agribusiness partners with family-run farms, each steeped in a tradition of dairy excellence. These suppliers, certified under the Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme (SDAS) by Bord Bia, follow best practices to ensure the highest quality standards. Through these partnerships, we deliver premium milk produced under ISO-accredited sustainability standards, reflecting the dedication and expertise of our suppliers.
At Kerry Agribusiness, our milk assembly process ensures quality and traceability from farm to processing. Each year, our GPS-equipped fleet collects over 1.1 billion litres. Critical quality data is digitally recorded and analysed centrally, while a robust cold chain preserves milk quality from farm to delivery at our Kerry Dairy Ireland processing facilities. Our milk assembly process guarantees that milk from our 2,800 family farms meets stringent quality standards.
All milk from our suppliers undergoes rigorous screening to meet Kerry Agribusiness’s high quality and safety standards, surpassing regulatory and customer requirements. Our accredited milk-testing laboratory plays a vital role, analysing microbiological content, composition, contaminants, and herd health. In collaboration with Munster Bovine, we also offer a milk recording service, empowering suppliers to optimise herd productivity through data-driven insights.
Kerry Agribusiness’s Quality Advisory Service supports milk quality improvement on our family farms through proactive, expert guidance. We maintain close communication with suppliers via personalised consultations, newsletters, technical bulletins, and our MilkedIn app. Our quality advisors support our suppliers in the continuous retention of SDAS certification, driving continuous improvement and integrating the latest innovations in dairy systems.
